The relatively small Lake Dobbiaco is located at 1,176 m in the homonymous municipality of the Val Pusteria, it is fed and emptied by the Rienza river. The lake comprises a diametre of 4.5 km and is located between the Three Peaks Nature Park and the Fanes-Senes-Braies Nature Park.
