During the pre-Christmas period, the main square of the East Tyrolean town transforms into a real winter fairytale. In fact, Lienz hosts one of the most atmospheric Advent Markets in whole Austria with beautifully decorated wooden huts, the delicious smell of Lebkuchen and hot tea and romantic Christmas sounds. This very special atmosphere will not only light up children's eyes!
The Christmas Market in Lienz offers traditional craftworks, East Tyrolean specialities, Christmas tree decoration, toys for children and many gift ideas for every taste and age. Moreover, it is a meeting place for relatives and friends, who enjoy the pre-Christmas atmosphere together drinking one or more cups of tea or hot wine punch … and maybe some snowflakes make the atmosphere even more romantic.
