At the end of November, a few days before the first Advent Sunday, one of the three big Christmas Markets of the South Tyrolean and East Tyrolean Val Pusteria valley opens in the enchanting village centre of San Candido (Innichen): the San Candido Dolomites Christmas. Tradition, peace, naturalness and contemplative moments characterise the Christmas Market with its nice stands.
The San Candido Christmas Market therefore consists exclusively of little wooden houses with local handicrafts and traditional culinary specialities. Among them there is a hatter, a wood carver, a butcher's shop and a cheese dairy. When night falls over San Candido, the sea of lights of the Christmas market puts the village centre in a fairytale atmosphere.
