The Eck Museum of Art exhibits both sacred and contemporary art

The City Museum Bruneck, inaugurated in 1995, is housed in the antique horse stables for stagecoaches. The museum is focused on the restoration of original artworks of the old City Museum and on graphic artworks from the XX century which were collected not only on a regional level but also beyond the national borders.
A space at the ground floor near the entrance hall is reserved for the late-gothic artworks of Michael Pacher and Friedrich Pacher and their scholars Simon and Veit von Taisten. On the first floor the museum hosts various temporary exhibitions on modern and contemporary art and on the second floor you can find the archives of the Eck Museum of Art.
The basement floor of the City Museum Bruneck hosts a studio of graphic art with print facilities (for etching-lithography-relief), where both adults and children can showcase their artistic talent for one day during workshops and other activities. Altogether, the Eck Museum of Art is a small and interesting museum very worth to be visited not only on bad weather days!
