From Lake Landro, located in the homonymous valley, you can enjoy a breathtaking view on the Cristallo mountain range

Only a stone's throw from Lake Dobbiaco, a little farther in the Valle di Landro, there is Lake Landro, which can either be reached from Dobbiaco or from Cortina d'Ampezzo in the south. In its turquoise colour, Lake Landro stretches on 1,400 m a.s.l., between the two nature parks Sesto Dolomites and Fanes-Senes-Braies.
Impressive is not only the lake itself, but also the Cristallo mountain range, catching your sight. While families prefer to spend some time on the lakeside, climbers exercise along the opposite side of the road in a climbing crag established in 2006, at the top of which a great view on the lake can be enjoyed. A few parking spaces are available along the road.
By the way: you can easily walk round this lake. Its waters are warmer than others at this altitude. In the northern end, there is also a shingle beach. So, come and experience a refreshing bath in the mountains.
