In Issengo, next to Lake Issengo and the High-rope course Kronaction, there is a specialist for herbs and essential oils such as pine oil. Bergila, this is how the family-run business is called, which has a long tradition, existing since 1912. Arnica alleviates muscle pains, amber for good humour - Bergila has got tinctures for various aches and pains.
The Bergila Herb Garden that surrounds the farm is cultivated basing on the moon calendar. Herbs, flowers and grasses flourish and are cultivated biologically and are not only a feast for the eyes, but also for the nose. The herbs are distilled in spring water and are manually worked. The products that are distilled are for instance essential oils.
Only a stone's throw away, there is also the pine oil distillery which can be visited. In order to produce pine oil, mountain pine, mountain spruce and juniper of the immediate surroundings are used, the focus is always set on quality rather than on quantity. On a regular basis, also courses about herbs are held.
