The Lienz Dolomites and the Dreitörlweg path are an inseparable couple, where connoisseurs go into raptures about the breathtaking panoramic views

This walking tour has plenty to offer, but it is suitable only for experienced hikers. Starting point of the tour is located already at high altitude, at 1,780 m a.s.l., at the Rif. Hochstadelalm mountain hut. From here the route proceeds until 2,497 m. The Lienz Dolomites offer a gorgeous backdrop and a breathtaking panorama.
From the Rif. Hochstadelhaus a slightly ascending hiking path proceeds around the Hochstadel mountain (2,681 m) until the crest of the Monte Leitentörl mountain (2,361 m) in the Lienz Dolomites (about 1.5 hours). From there the trail proceeds further, partly across rocky spots to the Monte Baumgartentörl (2,330 m) and the 2,283 m high Monte Kühleitentörl.
The last but most demanding ascent is still ahead of us. It leads us to our final destination, the Monte Laserztörl at 2,497 m. So the three “törl” are managed on the Dreitörlweg path: Baumgartentörl, Kühleitentörl and Laserztörl. To come back to the Rif. Hochstadelalm we take the same route.
