Walking through nature with open eyes and ears… this theme path in Campo Tures is a path for the senses
Image gallery: Campo Tures Nature Trail
The Campo Tures Nature Trail was constructed in 2004 with intent to understand and experience the Valle di Tures and Valle Aurina. At the wayside there's an orange squirrel leading you along the trail. Info panels line the path and give information about the local wildlife. Touching, exploring, reminding and thinking are the disciplines which you can train along the trail.
Starting at the Main Square of Campo Tures, the path leads towards north. After 50 m it turns right and crosses the river. Now you can walk along the river until the footpath leading to Tures Castle (Burgpromenade). The path leads past the beautiful castle complex towards north-east uphill the gravel road. From here on an amazing view to the valley accompanies the trail.
Then the Campo Tures Nature Trail continues for about 45 minutes before it leads again downhill to the river. On the right side of the river you can walk further until the nature bathing pond Campo Tures. It's possible to take a rest and a swim here or walk cross-country until the fountain at the Main Square, the starting point of the theme trail.
