This easy hiking tour starts at the mountain station of the Speikboden cable car near Campo Tures

The Speikboden ski area in the Valle Aurina is not only a popular winter destination, but also a renowned summer destination as it is also the mountain station of the cable car and therefore ideal starting point for hikes. At the Speikboden mountain hut (2,000 m a.s.l.) near the mountain station of the cable car, we follow the trail sign no. 27b, which leads us up to a hill after a short but steep ascent. On this hill you can see Lake Trejer and some other small mountain lakes. Now as we are coming up to the summer season, the area is covered with blooming rhododendrons, gentians and anemones.
We continue along the path no. 27b and then towards Mt. Sonnklar Nock (n° 26). We leave the timber line behind us and reach the summit (2,390 m) where we enjoy a gorgeous view ranging from the Dolomites to the snow-covered peaks of the Zillertal Alps and the High Tauern. At the near Sonnklarhütte mountain hut (mountain station of the chairift) we descend to the Speikboden mountain hut, the final destination of this circular hike.
