Always wanted to try ice climbing? Practise this fascinating sport on the ice falls and pillars of the Val Pusteria
Although the Val Pusteria features several ice climbing spots, it is still a rather unknown ice climbing destination. The area surrounding Riva di Tures offers climbing walls with difficulty levels up to 6 and is likely to be one of the most famous spots. Many ice climbing routes measure three rope lengths and delight athletes with stunning views of the deep gorges beneath them. The best time period for ice climbing is from December to March. From Riva di Tures you can walk to numerous ice falls. Hereafter we name some of the most famous ice climbing routes in Riva di Tures.
