The Munt da Rina hut near Marebbe is a popular destination also in winter for all those who want to spend a quiet day

Starting point of our winter hike is the parking space above the sports grounds of the village of Rina in the Val Badia. The route is quite easy to find: always along the paths 26A and 26 until the Munt da Rina mountain hut, located remote the ski slopes of the famous Plan de Corones. Either you walk along the forest road or you take the shortcuts through the forest. Snowshoes can be helpful in deep snow.
After about 90 minutes of walking uphill we reach the mountain hut just below the timber line, located on a snowy clearing. The hut is closed in winter. By the way: from here it is possible to follow the Anton Schwingshackl Path, up to the Passo di Luson, the Col da Lech and Lake Glittner See (additional walking time of approx. 1 hour).
For our way back we take the same route. A comfortable hike, quiet and nature - this winter day will stay in our memories!
