This family-friendly hike in the middle of the Sesto Dolomites leads into the Val Campo di Dentro Valley. It is particularly fun to shorten the way back with the hut’s toboggan run

There is a large, free parking lot between San Candido and Sesto, opposite the bus stop „Val Campo di Dentro/Innerfeldstrasse". Our winter hike starts here. First we hike through the forest on the slightly rising forest path. After 15 minutes we reach another small parking space - it is also possible to start the hike from here.
We walk a short distance along the toboggan run, here you have to watch out for oncoming sledders. Then the path branches off and only occasionally crosses the toboggan run again. So you can enjoy the tranquillity and the overwhelming mountain panorama of the majestic peaks of the Dolomites in the snowy nature: on our left the Tre Scarperi, on the right the Rocca dei Baranci (Haunold in german) and the Croda dei Baranci (Birkenkofel). After another hour we reach the rifugio Tre Scarperi mountain hut at 1,626 m. In the hut we warm up with a hot drink and enjoy homemade desserts. After a break we borrow sleds and enjoy the descent!
At the end of the journey, the toboggans can be parked in the rear parking lot. A quarter of an hour later we reach our starting point again via the access drive.
