Away from the main road of the Val Pusteria, along the sun-drenched “Strada del Sole“, there is the small but mighty village of Corti, located at 1,120 m a.s.l. It is located at the foot of the sun-drenched low mountain range of the Val Pusteria and is surrounded by lushly green meadows. Corti is mainly composted of traditional farms, its parish church is dedicated to San Martino. Its nave murals have been preserved in Romanesque construction style. In its interior, a winged altar of the year 1520 casts a spell over the visitors.
Close to Corti, there is Castel Schöneck, a recently restored mansion, which is the birthplace of the minne singer Oswald von Wolkenstein. Only a stone's throw from Corti, there is also the lake for bathing of Issengo with an adventure park nearby. A perfect spot of land, not only for kids.
As far as family walks are concerned, we recommend you a walk to the Moarhofalm pasture, starting from the parking space Gelenke. If you seek higher realms, scale the Cima del Pozzo or the Bärentalerspitze mountain, connected by the Alta Via di Fundres.
