Nessano

Nessano is located in the east of the main village and is connected to the cycle track of the Val Pusteria

The agriculture-oriented village of Nessano is located at about 1,000 m a.s.l. and has got some 110 inhabitants. Belonging to Perca, it stretches in the north of the main line of the Val Pusteria, in the east of the chief town. Via Nessano you can also reach the mountain hamlet of Sopranessano, located at 1,300 m a.s.l.

The church of Nessano is located nearby the village centre and dates back to the year 1474. It was constructed in the Gothic style and is consecrated to the S. Jacobus. Municipal coats of arms of the Habsburgians, Wolkenstein and Tyrol adorn the church, its exterior facade is decorated by paintings illustrating S. Cristoforo, pieces of art of Simon von Taisten.
