Seeking relaxation in the heart of nature? In this case S. Pietro is the right place to choose. Located at 1,364 m a.s.l., its parish church rises on a mountain slope and is dedicated to the apostles Pietro and Paolo. It was constructed in 1600, its church steeple has been established in Gothic style.
Not only due to the fact that there are many possibilities to stop at, S. Pietro is an ideal place for active holidays. Hiking is one of the most popular activities in this place, as the conditions for this leisure activity are simply unique. In fact, the valley is surrounded by 84 mountains of three thousand metres. If you prefer more comfortable walks in lower altitudes, we recommend you the so-called Samhuetten or the Taser and Winkleralm pastures.
In winter the lushly green meadows transform into a winter wonderland that really casts a spell over visitors and inhabitants. Moreover there are family-friendly skiing areas in which you can sow your wild oats with your skis or snowboard. The Klausberg and Speikboden skiing areas warmly welcome you and offer slopes for every taste, also for beginners and kids.
